My goal was to follow the transfer.
The request required two approvals.
Caleb.
Charles.
Both signed.

No acquisition existed.
The money would have gone offshore within hours.
Caleb claimed Charles told him the transfer protected company liquidity during divorce.
Rebecca asked the obvious question.
“Why Mercer Strategic?”
Caleb had no good answer.
Then forensic accountants found a side agreement.
Charles would hold the $12 million “for the benefit of Caleb Whitfield personally” if trust control shifted.
That made it theft.
Caleb knew.
He finally stopped pretending.
“Yes,” he said. “I was trying to protect what was mine.”
I asked:

If he could trigger trust chaos, freeze internal governance, and move cash, he could force a distressed sale.
His consulting company would receive a $20 million success fee.
That was the grand motive.
Inheritance war as corporate sabotage.
Then we found board minutes.

She had been quietly feeding Charles internal data.
She was arrested on conspiracy charges.

She said Charles had one final contingency:
If the paternity fraud failed and Nora gained standing, challenge Nora’s competency.

Caleb knew about it.

He had planned not only to steal assets but to label me mentally unstable if I fought.
