Chapter 7 - THE PROMISE

Patricia promised Cassandra marriage, company shares, and legal motherhood.

Jonathan promised to leave me after gaining Ashford financing.

Cassandra knew Sophie would be used in the custody case.

She claimed she never meant to hit her that hard.

Video showed her practicing the slap on a padded mannequin.

Patricia coached the line: “Cry again. No one here cares about you.”

The humiliation was scripted.

The pain was real.

Then acquisition records revealed Pierce Holdings was insolvent.

Sophie’s trust held the controlling debt note.

Jonathan needed custody because a guardian could direct the child’s vote.

The court removed every minor voting trigger from the trust.

Then Robert Pierce entered the ballroom.
