Michael arrived with his attorney.
He admitted he had watched the dinner remotely.
Alana told him Dustin needed to be “corrected” before the trust review.
Michael agreed to stay away.
He expected a lecture.
Not a plate thrown at his face.
But the camera footage showed Alana rehearsing the throw that afternoon.
Michael had access to the same feed.
He could have stopped it.

He said he froze.
Dustin asked:
“Did you see Grandma hit me?”
Michael lowered his eyes.
“Yes.”
“And you waited?”
“Yes.”
That answer ended something between father and son.
