Fiona’s lips parted.

“You failed again on November 2 after abandoning the night movement phase and falsely reporting a medical issue to avoid disciplinary review.”

Arthur whispered, “Jocelyn…”

I turned to him.

“You told people I counted socks.”

His face went pale.

“I didn’t know.”

“No,” I said. “You didn’t ask.”

Fiona’s voice rose.

“This is classified! You can’t say this!”

“No operational details,” I said. “No protected locations. No names except yours, because you made your lie public in front of a hundred people.”

She shook her head.

“No. I passed. I have the badge.”

“Then tell me your course number.”

Nothing.

“Tell me your final wind call.”

Nothing.

“Tell me the name of the instructor who signed your graduation packet.”

Her eyes filled with panic.

“Stop.”

I stepped closer.

“You don’t have a graduation packet, Fiona.”

The crowd started whispering.

Then Donovan reached inside his jacket and pulled out a folded document.
