Chapter 11 - The Lie About Livia

By sunset, Bianca's claim was everywhere.

Robert refused to respond publicly.

Privately, he was furious.

Rosalie was shaking.

"She's lying."

"I know."

"Caroline gave birth to Livia. I was there."

Daniel held up a hand.

"Bianca knows that."

"Then what is she doing?"

"Creating confusion."

Bianca's attorney filed an emergency petition requesting DNA testing.

The claim was bizarre.

Bianca alleged that years earlier, during fertility treatment, embryos had been mishandled and that Livia was biologically connected to her.

Robert read the filing twice.

"This is insane."

Daniel nodded.

"But insanity still has to be answered when it's filed in court."

Robert's stomach turned.

Bianca wasn't trying to win.

She was trying to delay.

Delay the trust.

Delay the frozen funds.

Delay criminal scrutiny.

And most of all—

keep herself legally connected to Livia.

Rosalie suddenly remembered something.

"Caroline kept everything."

"What?"

"Medical records. Pregnancy records. Hospital bracelets. She made a memory box."

They found it that night.

Inside were ultrasound images.

Hospital discharge papers.

Birth records.

Photos of Caroline holding newborn Livia.

And a sealed envelope from Caroline's fertility clinic.

Daniel reviewed it.

"No donor embryos. No surrogate. Nothing unusual."

The next morning, the clinic independently confirmed the records.

Bianca's claim fell apart almost immediately.

But Daniel wasn't satisfied.

"Where did she get the fertility story?"

Robert frowned.

"What do you mean?"

"She knew Caroline had undergone treatment before conceiving Livia."

Rosalie looked at him.

"That wasn't public."

"No."

Only family knew.

And Caroline's physician.

Then Robert remembered Adrian.

His father had once helped pay for Caroline's treatment through a family medical account.

Adrian, as financial adviser, had access to payment records.

"He told Bianca."

Daniel nodded.

That connected them even further.

The court dismissed Bianca's emergency claim.

But before leaving, the judge made something very clear.

Any further attempt to interfere with Livia without factual basis could result in sanctions.

Bianca stared across the courtroom at Robert.

For the first time, he saw fear.

Not sadness.

Fear.

Then the detective approached Daniel outside.

"We've got the search warrant."

For Adrian's office.

And Bianca's storage unit.

Hours later, investigators found the black document case Bianca had taken from the mansion.

Inside were copied trust records.

Forged signature templates.

Bank routing information.

And dozens of photographs of Robert's handwritten signature.

But one item shocked even Daniel.

A notebook.

Every page documented Robert's schedule.

Business trips.

Family dinners.

Livia's school pickup times.

Rosalie's doctor appointments.

And beside certain dates were notes.

R away — B alone with child.

Rosalie staying over — delay.

School discussion failed. Try fear.

Robert's hands went cold.

This wasn't improvisation.

Bianca had been documenting his daughter's vulnerabilities for months.

Then the detective turned one final page.

A date three weeks before the wedding.

Beside it:

Hair. Public humiliation if needed. Child must associate resistance with punishment.

Rosalie covered her mouth.

Robert stared at the sentence.

Bianca hadn't lost her temper with those clippers.

May you like

She had planned it.

👉 Robert had spent days wondering why Bianca could do something so cruel to a six-year-old—then the notebook proved the haircut was never punishment; it was training.
