Chapter 9 - ETHAN B

The second boy’s name was Caleb.
HomeLine renamed him Ethan B during training.
His biological mother entered a fertility program and was told he died at birth.
Sarah found him in captivity and refused to leave without him.
Thomas helped her escape after the crash.
That made Thomas rescuer and captor in different phases.
Sarah stayed hidden because HomeLine threatened Caleb’s mother and Ethan.
She built evidence with Thomas.
Why not contact me?
She feared I would involve police already compromised.
Again, private protection.
Again, I was assigned ignorance.
Sarah agreed to surrender publicly with Caleb.
Thomas did not appear.
Our reunion was raw.
I wanted to hold her.
I also wanted to scream.
Ethan looked at his mother and did not move.
She knelt.
“I’m sorry.”
He asked, “Why didn’t you come home?”
“I was scared.”
The same truth Lily had once whispered in another story, but now inside our family.
Fear explained absence.
It did not erase it.
Caleb entered independent care while his biological mother was located.
Sarah revealed the next target.
HomeLine planned to replace Ethan in our house with Caleb after shaving both boys and switching clothes.
The oversized shirt belonged to Caleb.
The return through the back door was supposed to create doubt over which child came home.
But Ethan knew details Caleb did not.
He chose the kitchen because it contained his own memories.
Then DNA testing showed Ethan and Caleb were not unrelated.
They were half brothers.
May you like
Thomas fathered both.
My twin had built his own hidden family through HomeLine.
