His grip tightened.

He raised his voice so the whole room could hear.

“Remember, I’m a Navy SEAL.”

I smiled.

“One.”

I turned my wrist inward.

Shifted my weight.

Stepped outside his balance.

Then I used the pressure he was already applying against him.

It was not a punch.

It was not a show.

It was physics.

His shoulder locked.

His knee buckled.

His tray flew sideways.

Bacon slid across the tile like evidence leaving the scene.
