The Carter Protocol investigation became the largest medical conspiracy case in state history.
Samuel Carter had spent forty years stealing embryos, altering records, suppressing memories, and raising selected children inside controlled environments.
Dr. Adrian Vale managed the private clinics.
Bradley recruited women.
Margaret arranged access, money, and silence.
Dozens of victims came forward.
Some remembered unexplained procedures.

The public called Samuel a monster.

I called him what he was.

The prosecutor asked me to testify first.
I entered the courtroom in a dark purple dress.

Bradley sat at the defense table.
He smiled when he saw me.

Bradley’s attorney stood.
“Mrs. Miller, you admit your memory has gaps.”
“Yes.”
“So you cannot know what happened during those periods.”
I looked at Matthew sitting beside Ethan.
Then at Tiffany holding the baby we now called Hope.
“I know what they recorded.”
The prosecution played the clinic videos.
Bradley signing consent forms.
Vale administering sedatives.
Samuel directing procedures.
Margaret asking how quickly my memories would fade.
Then Matthew testified.
He told the jury how Bradley called himself his father but never hugged him.
How Samuel tested him weekly.
How Dr. Vale punished him for remembering my face from old photographs.
Bradley stared at the table.
Tiffany testified next.
Her voice shook until she looked at Hope.
Then it became clear.
“They treated my body like rented space.”
Dr. William Carter presented the medical evidence.
He also submitted his own DNA.
The results revealed Samuel was not his biological father.
William had been created from another donor and raised as Samuel’s son because he showed exceptional intelligence.
Samuel had no biological children.
Not William.
Not Bradley.
Not any of the children he called his legacy.
The truth broke his final claim to immortality.
Samuel was convicted of kidnapping, human experimentation, conspiracy, assault, fraud, and murder.
Vale received life without parole.
Margaret accepted a plea agreement and testified against them.
She received eighteen years.
Bradley was convicted of rape through medical fraud, domestic assault, kidnapping, conspiracy, and attempted murder.
Before sentencing, he looked at me.
“I loved you.”
I held his gaze.
“No. You studied me.”
The judge sentenced him to sixty-four years.
As officers led him away, he turned toward Matthew.
“I’m still your father.”
Matthew answered quietly.
“No.”
