The alarm log became central evidence.
Harper’s code opened the door.
But device metadata showed it was entered remotely before she arrived.
Someone wanted the record to implicate her.
The keypad camera showed Nathan never touched it.
The signal came from General Brooks’s military phone.
Harper had been manipulated into bringing the replacement home while the system prepared her as the guilty spouse.
She still left Violet.
Why?
Nathan told her an ambulance would arrive after they retrieved the drive.
He threatened Claire if she called police.
Fear explained.
It did not excuse choosing one daughter’s safety over another’s body on the floor.
Violet asked Harper:
“Why wasn’t I enough?”
Harper had no answer.
Then the black dress shoe from the hallway matched Detective Grant’s size and brand.
Security footage showed him entering our house earlier that morning.
Grant denied it.
GPS placed him nearby.
He had investigated a “robbery” before it happened.
