Spencer stammered out with a shaking voice.
"Your mother held a conditional lease, Spencer."
"And that lease expired precisely at three o'clock."
Penelope hurried over in her heavy wedding gown.
She looked ready to burst into hysterics immediately.
"Spencer, what is he talking about?" Penelope cried.
"Why are the lights off and so hot?"
Evelyn stomped over, her face twisted in rage.
"Call the electric company right now, trash!"
I ignored Evelyn's screeching voice completely today.
I calmly slipped my smartphone into my handbag.
I reached down and lifted my silver suitcase.
The metal wheels clicked softly against stone path.
"What is inside that suitcase?" Spencer demanded.
"Just my personal belongings from the master suite."
"Though I am leaving you the bill."
The guests around us whispered loudly among themselves.
