Chapter 12 - THE FALSE MARRIAGE

Daniel needed the appearance of marriage to activate spousal medical rights.
The trust did not require love.
It required a public wife, a household, and an heir.
Our wedding was staged around forged identity records.
The license connected him to Rachel’s legal identity while photographs showed me.
If challenged, Daniel could claim either woman consented.
The court voided his spousal authority.
That protected my pregnancy immediately.
The Collins trust entered receivership.
No family member controlled the children.
Then Daniel offered a confession.
He said Margaret designed everything.
He was raised to believe bloodlines justified any act.
He admitted the punch.
The gun.
The forged records.
The basement.
He claimed he never intended to kill me.
The recording of his threat said otherwise.
“Beat you to death.”
The jury would hear his own words.
Then the black handgun was traced.
