Chapter 7 - SOPHIE

Sophie lived at the same training residence where Noah had been held.
She believed Madison was her aunt and General Brooks was her grandfather.
The program had replaced family facts with operational roles.
Daniel Carter emerged from witness protection to identify her.
Their reunion was supervised.
Sophie did not run into his arms.
She asked, “Why didn’t you come?”
He answered, “I was afraid.”
She said, “So was I.”
No easy repair.
Daniel provided the original armor files.
He had tried to expose Victor and my father.
My mother convinced him the family would kill Sophie if he continued.
He disappeared.
His silence let the fraud expand.
Fear explained.
It did not absolve.
Then forensic analysts discovered Sophie’s biometric activation came from the ballroom microphone.
When the master of ceremonies announced my name, the sound system embedded an ultrasonic code generated from Sophie’s voice.
Madison had recorded her.
The gala itself unlocked the trust.
General Brooks’s entrance unknowingly completed the sequence.
Authority had been used as part of the fraud.
The court froze the transfer seconds before midnight.
Then Madison disappeared from military custody.

A guard wearing my face released her.
Another trained replacement had entered the case.
