The land option became a separate financial investigation.
Not because every ugly divorce dispute belongs in criminal court.
Because the document appeared knowingly false.
Digital analysis showed it had been created eighteen months earlier, not four years earlier.
Metadata traced the template to Vanessa’s office laptop.
The signature image came from an old Edward Bennett lease document.
Karen’s notary seal image had been copied from another file.
This was not a mistaken date.
It was manufactured.
Why?
The land had appreciated dramatically.
Twenty-eight acres near expanding suburbs.
If the company had a valid purchase option at the old price, Vanessa’s forty-percent business interest became much more valuable during divorce settlement.
Without it, the business merely leased land controlled separately.
The difference was potentially millions.
Vanessa had tried to convert a divorce negotiation into a windfall using a false document.
Michael discovered it.
That was the “paper” argument before the attack.
