Chapter 9 - THE EXECUTIVE REPLACEMENT

Rebecca voluntarily submitted to biometric testing.

She was herself.

The replacement was her half sister Victoria, already in custody, trained to resemble multiple women through prosthetics and voice models.

But the succession file contained current video of a woman who looked like me practicing boardroom speeches.

Her natural name was Claire Parker.

My mother’s younger daughter.

My half sister.

Helen gave birth to Claire inside the neurological facility twelve years after her staged death.

Richard Mitchell was Claire’s biological father.

The pregnancy was the result of coercion.

Olivia raised Claire within the continuity program and taught her that Helen abandoned both daughters.

Claire had been trained to replace me professionally.

She knew my education, company history, gestures, and private phrases.

She had entered board meetings remotely under my identity during my business travel.

Several decisions I believed Daniel made without me were actually signed by Claire as me.

Claire surrendered after Olivia’s arrest.

She did not ask to be treated as family.

She said, “I know your life better than I know mine.”

That sentence exposed the cruelty.

She had been denied an original self.

The government wanted to use Claire as a witness immediately.

I insisted she receive independent counsel and psychological care first.

Evidence could wait long enough for consent.

Claire later chose to testify.

She described Olivia’s training center, where substitutes rehearsed emotional breakdowns, marriages, executive meetings, and custody hearings.

Some were willing participants.

Others had no alternatives.

The center’s archive revealed replacement plans for judges, doctors, and corporate spouses across the country.

The Mitchells sold identity manipulation as a service.

The parent company was called Continuity Partners.

Richard was not its founder.

He licensed the method from an international group.

Claire identified the American director above Olivia.

Eleanor Ashbourne.

A British-American investor living in Boston.

Eleanor had funded my company’s first venture round through a shell fund.

She helped build the business Olivia later tried to steal.

My success had never been outside their plan.

They wanted to create a valuable target, then acquire it through marriage.

That truth almost made every achievement feel contaminated.

Helen stopped me.

“They opened a door for their reasons. You built what came after.”

Origin did not equal ownership.

I repeated that until I believed it.

Federal agents raided Continuity Partners’ Boston offices.

Eleanor Ashbourne escaped.

The servers showed active plans targeting children as future trustees.

Emma’s profile remained active despite Olivia’s arrest.

A scheduled event appeared.

SECOND BALCONY — AGE FOUR.

The program planned another separation trauma on Emma’s next birthday.

Location: a hotel in Boston.

Assigned observer: Sarah Mitchell.

Someone intended to make me participate in my daughter’s conditioning.
