June Harper lived at Ashbourne Children’s Residence under another surname.
DNA showed she was Davina’s biological daughter.
Davina had undergone fertility treatment at twenty-three and was told the pregnancy failed.
An embryo survived through a surrogate.
Eleanor arranged it.
June was raised as a future donor and legal heir.
Why test Juny if June existed?
Because June was not compatible with Davina.
Juny was.
The replacement child served the trust.
The raised child served the body.
Two girls assigned different functions.
Davina’s grief became complicated.
She had lost a daughter without knowing.
She had also helped endanger another girl.
Neither truth erased the other.
June entered independent care.
No instant reunion.
She chose letters only.
Then Ashbourne’s attorneys claimed June, not Juny, owned the lake property.
The names differed by one letter.
The trust language said “my first granddaughter, Juny Harper.”
Clear.
But a forged version used June.
The family had prepared legal confusion to delay transfer until donation occurred.
Sofia exposed the metadata.
The forged file came from Eleanor’s laptop.
The court sanctioned her.
Then the original legal envelope from breakfast was opened under supervision.
Inside was a handwritten letter from my father.
Rachel, if they ever make Juny believe love requires her body, take her away from all of us.
I read it beside my daughter’s hospital bed.
