Arthur Vance's smug expression froze completely in place.
His hands began trembling violently against his paper file.
"What... what are you talking about?" Arthur stammered.
Special Agent Harris of the FBI stepped through doors.
Two tactical federal marshals followed behind Agent Harris fast.
"Arthur Vance, you are under federal arrest for bribery."
"We seized your law firm's master server an hour."
"We recovered every encrypted wire transfer to Judge Thomas."
Arthur dropped his leather briefcase onto the floor tiles.
The legal papers spilled out across the clean wood.
The high-priced attorney wept on his knees in shock.
Federal agents slapped heavy iron handcuffs onto his wrists.
The entire corrupt legal network collapsed in ten minutes.
Victor, Lorraine, and Arthur were all held in chains.
The restaurant diners applauded loudly for my heroic mother.
Victor glared at me with deep, bitter, defeated hatred.
"You ruined my family, Emily!" Victor screamed out.
"Your greed ruined your family, Victor," I replied softly.
The police shoved the three criminals into waiting cruisers.
The heavy metal doors slammed shut with loud thuds.
Sirens wailed as the cars drove away into night.
