The room was silent.
The investigation was supposed to be over.
Julian was exposed.
The Vance family was destroyed.
The mastermind was captured.
But the file changed everything.
The timestamp was impossible.
Created after everyone involved was arrested.
Someone was still moving.
Someone was still watching.
The FBI opened the document.
Inside was a single photograph.
My baby shower.
The moment I stood up from the floor.
The moment I said:
“You chose the wrong wife.”
But the photograph was taken from an angle nobody in the ballroom could have seen.
A hidden camera.
A hidden observer.
The agent zoomed in.
Behind the crowd.
Near the entrance.
A person stood watching.
A person who was never supposed to be there.
Then the final page loaded.
One sentence appeared.
The handwriting was familiar.
