The FBI followed the money.
That was what they always said.
Money left fingerprints.
The person funding Julian’s plan wasn’t Arthur.

The agent showed me the final payment.
The date.
The amount.
The person who approved it.
Then Julian suddenly looked afraid.

“You don’t understand.”
The agent looked at him.
“Explain.”

“They’ll kill me.”
The room froze.
Because for the first time, Julian wasn’t afraid of losing money.
