The Bennett trust had been written by Julian’s grandmother.
She anticipated male heirs trying to control women through childbirth.
The trust therefore assigned authority to the non-consenting genetic parent if reproductive coercion was proven.
Julian never read the final amendment.
He relied on an old summary.
Once the altered records and embryo theft were established, every share moved into temporary receivership under Clara’s protection.
Not personal ownership.
Fiduciary responsibility.
The children’s welfare came first.

She panicked.
