Daniel placed the document on the table.
A legal notice.
He claimed I had damaged family property.
He claimed I attacked first.
For a moment, I was stunned.
Not because I believed it.
Because he was willing to lie that easily.
Lorraine smiled again.
They still thought paperwork could erase reality.
My attorney picked up the document.
Then laughed.
Because the date was wrong.
The signature was wrong.
The entire thing was rushed.
Daniel’s plan was falling apart.
But before he could respond, my attorney received an email.
A new attachment.
A bank record.
Daniel’s account.
Payments.
Large payments.
To someone connected to Lorraine.
The room became quiet.
