Evelyn Ashford survived the crash that supposedly killed her.
She entered federal witness protection after uncovering the sale of replacement identities. Harrison had helped move her and then told me she died because he believed the network monitored me.
Protection through grief.
My mother said she paid Claire to infiltrate the Monroe household and expose Judith. Claire later accepted Judith’s money too.
Evelyn also warned that Harrison’s firm would become trustee if Grant and I were both removed. He had a financial interest in every outcome.
No rescuer entered the house clean.
Then Claire found a child’s birth certificate inside the safe.
Sophie Monroe. Age nine. Mother: Rachel Ashford Monroe. Father: Grant Monroe.
I had never given birth.
