My father, Robert Shaw, had created the hospital land trust with my grandmother.
The property included underground medical research facilities.
He faked his death after federal investigators discovered unauthorized genetic trials.
The estate transferred to me because Grandma no longer trusted him.
He disappeared rather than lose control.
Linda later learned the trust existed and arranged Daniel’s marriage to me through social connections.
Our romance began naturally.
The introduction did not.
She chose the restaurant where we met.
Paid a mutual friend to invite us.
Tracked my finances.
Daniel had not known.

My father wanted the marriage completed because the incapacity clause would move control through Daniel, then Linda, then eventually back to him through a hidden partnership.
Every adult built plans around my body.
Then federal agents found the underground research facility.
Inside were frozen embryos, family DNA files, and records under my name.
I had undergone fertility treatment years earlier after a miscarriage.
The clinic collected eggs without full consent.
The files showed three embryos created using Daniel’s genetic material before we were engaged.
Our marriage had been anticipated.
One embryo had already been carried by a surrogate.
A child existed.
My biological daughter.
