The seal broke quietly.
A small sound.
But everyone heard it.

Every page confirmed what I already knew.

I wasn’t insignificant.
I wasn’t the person Reed saw on the mess hall floor.

The recruits who watched me fall would remember something different now.
Not the punch.
Not the humiliation.
The moment I stood back up.
Reed stood nearby.
