The jury found Leonard guilty on every major charge.
Cassandra was convicted of attempted murder, child abuse, conspiracy, and evidence tampering.
Robert was convicted of conspiracy, obstruction, and unlawful human experimentation.
Leonard received life in prison without parole.
The judge called his actions “calculated abuse of scientific authority.”
Cassandra received thirty-two years.
Before sentencing, she addressed Elijah.
“I loved Toby.”
Elijah answered only when the judge permitted him.
“You loved what his existence could buy you.”
Cassandra began crying.
He did not look away.
Robert received eighteen years.
Sherman Biotech paid massive penalties and entered federal receivership.
The board removed the Sherman family from control.
Victims of Trial 6 and the pediatric cases received compensation funds.
Naomi’s original report was officially validated.
The dead volunteer’s family received a public apology and settlement.
Outside court, reporters asked Naomi whether justice had been served.
“Justice did not give Toby back the night he lost,” she said. “But it may stop another child from losing theirs.”
Elijah stood several feet away.
He no longer represented Sherman Biotech.
He no longer had an expensive office or a company title.
For the first time, he seemed relieved rather than diminished.
Then a reporter asked whether he and Naomi had reunited.
