Charles had preserved the voicemail as part of Grace’s estate file.
Daniel had never heard it.
Grace sounded tired.
But steady.
Margaret’s voice was sharper.
She accused Grace of trapping Daniel with a child.
Grace told her the DNA test proved the truth.
Margaret dismissed the result.

Grace only needed to leave.
