When William met Isabella, she presented herself as independently successful.

Real estate.
Investments.
Nothing extraordinary for their social circle.
But records William already had access to told another story.

“Was Isabella blackmailing them?” William asked.

Then Ethan finally described why Isabella locked him away.
He had taken the backpack downstairs.
Isabella saw the Noah bracelet.
She ripped the bag from him.
He cried.
She asked whether he had shown William.
He said no.

That was when Isabella dragged him upstairs.
Not because he understood the records.
Because he could prove Isabella had lied about knowing Natalie.
