Chapter 11 - The Raid on the Mansion

Three black police cruisers pulled into the suburban driveway.
Red and blue emergency lights flashed across manicured lawns.
Neighbours stepped out onto sidewalks, watching in total shock.
Special Agent Harris marched up the front brick steps.
Two armed state police officers stood behind him ready.
Agent Harris slammed his fist against the oak door.
"Federal Marshals! Open the door immediately, Mr. Morgan!"
Inside the house, frantic shouting echoed through hallway space.
The heavy oak front door was unlocked and opened slowly.
My father Robert stood in doorway, shaking uncontrollably now.
"Officer... what is the meaning of this scene?"
Agent Harris shoved the door wide open, stepping inside.
"Robert Morgan, Linda Morgan, and Vanessa Morgan!"
"We hold federal arrest warrants for wire fraud!"
Linda ran down the grand spiral staircase in panic.
Her white silk blouse was rumpled and unbuttoned messy.
"You cannot enter my home without a warrant!"
Agent Harris held up the signed federal warrant paper.
"Your home is a primary crime scene, Mrs. Morgan."
Vanessa tried to slip out through the kitchen door.
An officer stepped into her path, grabbing her arms.
"Get off me, you filthy pig!" Vanessa shrieked.
She thrashed wildly, kicking her legs on tile floor.
The officer twisted her arm back, snapping steel handcuffs.
Cold iron clicked tightly around her manicured wrists fast.
Linda screamed hysterically as another officer cuffed her.
"Robert! Call our corporate lawyers! Do something!"
"All your accounts are frozen, Linda," Agent Harris stated.
"Your corporate lawyers dropped your case twenty minutes ago."
Robert collapsed onto the foyer chair, weeping pathetic tears.
The three criminals were forced out the front entrance.
