Caroline Vale gave birth to twin boys at Greenvale.
David and Daniel.
Eleanor intended to raise both inside the program.
Margaret, unable to have children, took me and left Daniel behind.
She forged hospital records and told her husband I was biologically theirs.
Caroline fought to recover us.
Eleanor declared her unstable and confined her.
Margaret later took Madison from another sealed adoption and raised us as siblings.
Our entire family had been assembled through theft.

She lived under the name Elizabeth Grant at a Vale care facility.
Federal agents searched it.
Her room was empty.
A recent photograph showed a silver-haired woman entering.
The woman Ethan saw outside the hospital.
I had assumed she was Eleanor.
She was Caroline.
My biological mother.
She had not come to threaten us.
She came to reach me.
Why did Ethan call her the basement lady?
Because Caroline had entered the abandoned house to help Laura and the children.
Ethan mistook her for Eleanor.

Caroline fled the hospital entrance because she saw Margaret’s private security team approaching.

Hayes traced Caroline through public transit cameras.
She surrendered voluntarily at a federal office.
When we met, she did not ask me to call her Mom.
She handed me a photograph of two infants.
“I held you both once.”
Margaret had told me motherhood was built through sacrifice.
Caroline’s existence revealed what Margaret’s sacrifice meant.
She stole another woman’s child and called possession love.
Caroline gave prosecutors the final piece needed to locate Eleanor.
Her mother kept a private bunker beneath the old estate chapel.
Agents entered.
The bunker was empty.
But live monitors showed every current Carter child.
Ethan’s hospital room.
Emma’s treatment room.
Grace’s placement home.
Caleb’s safe residence.
Laura’s maternity room.
Eleanor still watched all of them.
Then one monitor displayed a room none of us recognized.
A newborn slept inside an incubator.
The label read:
CARTER REPLACEMENT 4 — DELIVERED.
Laura was still pregnant with Replacement 4.
