The payments were labeled clearly.
Home nursing.
Physical therapy.
Medical transportation.
Nutritional services.
But none of the companies existed.
Every payment went through a consulting firm registered to Victoria’s cousin.
From there, the money moved into an account called the Victoria Cole Wellness Foundation.
Ethan had heard of the foundation.
Victoria used it to host luxury charity events.
She posed beside donation banners.
She gave interviews about supporting vulnerable seniors.
She had even invited reporters to the mansion twice.
The foundation’s largest donor was Ethan.
He just had not known it.
“You stole money intended for my mother,” he said.
Victoria’s face hardened.
“I moved household funds.”
“You created fake medical invoices.”
“You would have approved the foundation if I had asked.”
“That money was for food, medication, and nursing care.”
Margaret looked down at her hands.
Victoria snapped, “She had a roof over her head.”
“She was locked in a laundry room.”
“She was ungrateful.”
The word echoed through the kitchen.
Victoria realized too late that several phones were still recording.
She turned toward the guests.
“Put those away!”
Nobody obeyed.
Lauren stepped closer to Margaret.
“Did Victoria ever hit you?”
Margaret hesitated.
Victoria’s eyes locked on her.
Ethan saw the fear immediately.
“Mom, she cannot hurt you now.”
Margaret swallowed.
“She pushed me once.”
Victoria scoffed.
“She fell.”
“She pushed me after I asked for my phone.”
“That’s a lie.”
Margaret looked at Ethan.
“There was a camera in the hallway.”
Victoria went still.
The camera had been installed as part of Ethan’s security system.
Victoria believed she had disabled it months ago.
But Ethan’s security company maintained a remote backup.
