Mr. Miller pulled a second paper from folder.
"We completed a forensic audit of your accounts."
"You embezzled forty million dollars from Vale Corporation."
"You transferred funds to offshore accounts for Vanessa."
Vanessa gasped, taking two steps away from Adrian.
"I didn't know the money was stolen!" Vanessa yelled.
"He told me he was a self-made billionaire!"
Adrian turned on Vanessa with pure, venomous rage.
"Shut up, you greedy snake!" Adrian roared wildly.
"You spent half that money on diamond necklaces!"
My father raised his hand, silencing their screaming.
"Two police cruisers are at the gate, Miller."
Two police cars pulled up with sirens wailing.
