Chapter 8 - THE OTHER ARTHUR

Arthur had an identical twin named Robert.
Their parents hid Robert’s existence because the Carter trust named only one eldest son.
Robert grew up under another surname.
In adulthood, he sometimes acted as Arthur during travel and negotiations.
What began as convenience became identity fraud.
After Arthur’s death, Robert continued using his name to protect the company from Marcus.
He installed the pantry camera.
He built the black box.
He wrote some of the letters I believed came from Arthur.
Which man had been my husband during the final years?
The question devastated me.
Robert met us under attorney supervision.
He looked like Arthur with a different sadness.
He admitted he had stood beside me at two charity events and one hospital visit.
He swore he never entered my marriage privately.
Arthur remained my husband.
Robert had used the public role only.
Then Anna produced an old photograph.
Robert holding Marcus as a newborn.
The date placed Arthur overseas.
Robert might be Marcus’s biological father.
Independent DNA confirmed it.
Marcus was Robert’s son.
Anna was Arthur’s daughter.
Marcus and Anna were biological cousins, not siblings.
The marriage remained manipulative and unlawful through fraud, but the genetic relationship changed.
The family had hidden so many identities that even the abusers did not know their own bloodlines.
Then Robert admitted Marcus knew he was Robert’s son.
That knowledge gave him a claim to the hidden twin branch of the trust.
The three million account was only the first step.
Marcus wanted to prove I was not the rightful matriarch.
