Chapter 4 - The Shadow Behind The Boy

I spent the next morning trying to prove what I had seen.

But proving something and knowing something were different.

The video quality was poor.

The reflection was blurry.

Richard knew exactly how to create doubt.

At school, he arrived with two lawyers.

Not police.

Not concern.

Lawyers.

He walked into Principal Harris’s office carrying a folder.

“My son is being targeted because of his family name.”

It was a perfect performance.

He became the victim.

The wealthy father protecting his child.

Nobody wanted to believe a respected businessman could manipulate a twelve-year-old.

Then Principal Harris showed me the complaint Richard filed against me.

He claimed I had threatened Max.

I stared at the paper.

A false accusation.

Already prepared.

Richard had planned his response before I even entered the office.

That was when I realized something terrifying.

He was not reacting.

He was controlling the entire situation.

But I noticed something else.

One signature on the complaint looked strange.

The school secretary’s signature.

It wasn’t hers.
