Chapter 6 - The Notebook Under The Bed

The notebook was small.
Simple.
But inside were months of fear.
Lily had recorded everything because she thought nobody would believe her.
Every time Max threatened someone.
Every time another student got blamed.
Every time a teacher looked away.
I felt guilty reading it.
Not because Lily wrote it.
Because she had been carrying it alone.
The next day, I found the first person willing to speak.
A former school assistant named Claire.
She contacted me after seeing the video.
“I should have said something earlier,” she admitted.
Claire showed me emails between school administrators.
Several complaints about Max had disappeared.
Not rejected.
Not investigated.
Deleted.
And every time, Richard had been copied on the messages.
Then Claire gave me one final file.
A meeting schedule.
Richard Sterling.
Principal Harris.
A private meeting.
The date?
