Chapter 5 - The House Garrick Never Mentioned

Her name was Elise Warren.
Sienna had seen it once on Garrick’s phone.
He claimed she was a real estate broker helping Ashford Industries purchase land.
The photograph in his desk showed a white mansion overlooking the Connecticut River.
Sienna had assumed it was company property.
It was not.
Charles explained that one of Garrick’s shell companies had purchased the mansion eleven months earlier.
The deed was hidden through multiple corporations.
Renovations, furniture, vehicles, and household staff were all paid with Ashford Industries money.
Elise Warren lived there.
Miriam’s expression changed.
Not surprise.
Recognition.
Sienna saw it.
“You knew about her.”
Miriam lifted her chin.
“Elise understands Garrick’s responsibilities.”
The cruelty of that answer cut deeper than any denial.
Sienna looked at her husband.
“Is she your mistress?”
Garrick’s silence answered.
Sienna placed her free hand over her belly.
For months, Garrick had blamed stress for his absences.
He had left her alone during medical appointments.
He had missed the first ultrasound because of an “emergency board meeting.”
He had been with Elise.
Miriam moved toward Sienna as if explaining something to a child.
“You were never suited to this family. Garrick needs a wife who can support his position.”
“I am his wife.”
“On paper.”
Sienna’s mother stepped between them.
“That paper still has legal force.”
Miriam gave her a cold smile.
“Not for long.”
The room became still.
Garrick turned toward his mother.
“Miriam.”
But she had already said too much.
Sienna’s mother studied them both.
“What have you done?”
Miriam looked away.
Sienna suddenly remembered documents Garrick had placed beside her hospital bed.
He claimed they authorized temporary household management while her arm healed.
She had refused to sign because she was medicated.
Garrick became furious.
Two days later, he told her she had signed them after all.
She believed she had simply forgotten.
Now Charles revealed that Ashford’s legal department had received a spousal waiver carrying Sienna’s signature.
The waiver surrendered her claim to certain marital assets.
It also stated that she had voluntarily separated from Garrick.
Sienna had never signed it.
Garrick had forged her name.
But the waiver contained something even more disturbing.

It claimed Sienna had agreed to surrender temporary custody of both children if she experienced another “mental-health episode.”
👉 Garrick was not merely hiding an affair—he was preparing to take Sienna’s children and place Elise inside the life he had stolen from her.
