Chapter 6 - The Plan for Her Unborn Baby

Sienna could barely process the words.

Both children.

Her unborn daughter had already been included in Garrick’s plan.

The forged waiver described Sienna as emotionally unstable, physically reckless, and unable to care for a newborn.

It cited her fall as evidence.

Garrick had created the accident.

Paid a doctor to alter the record.

Then used the altered record to build a custody case.

Sienna’s fear became anger.

“You pushed me because you needed me injured.”

Garrick shook his head.

“You are imagining connections.”

“You put my baby’s life at risk for paperwork.”

“I never meant for you to fall.”

It was the first partial admission.

One officer immediately focused on him.

Garrick realized his mistake.

He tried to correct himself.

“I mean, I never touched her.”

Sienna’s mother spoke quietly.

“You just contradicted yourself.”

Miriam stepped toward the board.

“This conversation is finished. Everyone will leave.”

No one moved.

Charles looked at her with open disgust.

“You used your position as chairwoman to approve several of Garrick’s consulting payments.”

Miriam’s confidence faltered.

“I approved expenses presented by an executive.”

“You approved payments to shell companies registered by your personal attorney.”

Garrick stared at his mother.

“You said those couldn’t be traced.”

Sienna heard several people inhale sharply.

Miriam closed her eyes for one second.

Another mistake.

Another truth spoken under pressure.

Garrick turned on her.

“This was your plan.”

“You came to me,” Miriam snapped. “You said Sienna would ruin the promotion.”

“I said I needed protection.”

“And I protected you!”

Mother and son stared at each other.

Their alliance cracked in front of everyone.

Sienna finally understood why Miriam had been so cruel.

Garrick’s promotion would place him in control of Ashford Industries.

Miriam planned to retire while maintaining influence through him.

But Sienna had discovered the missing money.

If she spoke, both of them could lose everything.

Elise was not only Garrick’s mistress.

She was meant to become the public face of his new life after Sienna was declared unfit.

Sienna’s mother took her hand.

“You are not alone anymore.”

For weeks, Sienna had believed Garrick controlled every door around her.

Now those doors were open.

But Garrick still possessed one dangerous advantage.

He had taken Sienna’s phone after the fall.

On that phone was the only recording of their argument at the staircase.

And before police could search for it, Garrick quietly reached toward his jacket pocket.

👉 Garrick still carried the phone containing Sienna’s strongest evidence—and he was about to destroy it in front of everyone.
