Julian had not escaped prosecution.
He had followed Rachel Ashbourne into Meridian’s New York archive after learning Victor kept a second Sterling ledger there.
He took Margaret’s ring because the vault required both orchid keys.
He did not ask either sister.
Again, private urgency over consent.
Federal teams tracked him to an underground room beneath Grand Central.
The vault contained trust transfers, identity files, and client names.
Julian entered before agents arrived.
Rachel Ashbourne locked him inside and demanded immunity.
He refused to surrender the rings.

If released publicly without context, thousands of innocent employee pensions might collapse.

Julian wanted time to restructure first.
I told him secrecy had already cost enough.
We released the evidence under court supervision while freezing only criminal assets, not employee funds.

Rachel surrendered the archive.

The rings entered federal custody permanently.
