I did not expose Teresa at a family party.
I did not post screenshots online.
I did not send her financial records to friends.
Humiliation wasn't the goal.
Accountability was.
The forensic review separated legitimate loans from unauthorized transfers.
It identified money due back to accounts Julian and I owned.
It documented funds associated with Marcus's company.
It traced Teresa's transfers between North Shore and Richard Vance Holdings.
Marcus faced the consequences of his own business decisions through lenders, partners, and professional advisers already connected to his company.
Teresa had to answer for transactions she had authorized without permission.
Julian faced separate consequences for the violence against me and for financial decisions he knowingly allowed.
There was no clean villain and innocent family.
That was the hardest truth.
Everyone had participated differently.
Even me.
I had ignored uncomfortable questions because writing checks was easier than fighting with Julian.
I had used money to buy peace.
Teresa used money to buy control.
Both choices kept the system alive.
Then the final piece arrived.
Richard's estate attorney still had an archived letter written months before Richard died.
It was not a secret inheritance.
It changed no ownership.
It simply explained what Richard had wanted.
He wrote that neither son should receive further financial rescue without independent oversight because repeated bailouts were damaging both of them.
Teresa had ignored him.
For eight years.
She had told everyone she was preserving Richard's family.
In reality, Richard had asked her to stop doing exactly what she continued.
Julian read the letter.
Then slid it toward his mother.
