Marshal Harris tapped his tablet screen to open file.
A high-resolution image of an old document appeared display.
It was a original military intelligence report from years ago.
The red classification stamp read SECRET across the top.
My eyes narrowed as I recognized the official format.
"Where did you find this document, Harris?" I asked.
"Inside Vance's personal wall safe at office," Harris answered.
"It was hidden behind a stack of stolen cash."
I looked closely at the names listed on report.
The report detailed a catastrophic military ambush in Europe.
An ambush that cost the lives of twelve soldiers.

I looked toward the black SUV where Amelia sat.
She was watching us through the dark tinted window glass.
Her eyes held a sinister, desperate secret behind tears.
"It wasn't Vance running this operation," I realized out.
"Vance was just the low-level enforcer on ground."
"The real mastermind is someone much higher up."
Marshal Harris nodded solemnly, agreeing with my assessment.
"We checked the digital signature on the file, Commander."
"The document was downloaded from a private server IP."
"A server registered to a estate in Virginia."
My blood ran cold as I remembered that estate.
It was the private residence of Amelia's wealthy father.
The man who had funded my wedding five years ago.
The man who claimed to love our country deeply.
He was the ultimate traitor behind the military leak.
"Call headquarters, Harris," I commanded in a voice.
