Chapter 6 - LAURA

Linda’s identical twin was Laura Bennett.

Declared dead at birth.

Raised privately by the Miller family as a signature substitute.

When Richard needed Linda’s approval, Laura signed.

When he needed a witness, Laura appeared.

When Linda resisted, Laura played the compliant wife in photographs and meetings.

The transfer form for Rachel carried Laura’s signature.

Not Linda’s.

The house documents awaiting Friday also used Laura.

Richard did not need Linda to sign away the property.

He needed only to make the forged transfer believable.

Laura remained alive.

Vanessa helped hide her in a private residence.

Police found her under heavy sedation.

She had spent decades moving between identities.

Sometimes Linda.

Sometimes a housekeeper.

Sometimes a company clerk.

She could no longer remember which name felt original.

The family system did not only exploit twins.

It dissolved them.

Laura identified Richard as the man who ordered Rachel’s transfer.

Thomas helped execute it.

Vanessa delivered later payments.

Linda unknowingly raised the public child.

Every adult touched the lie.

Then Laura revealed the house belonged to neither Linda nor Richard.

Grandma left it equally to both twin sisters.

Laura’s share had been hidden.

Richard planned to transfer the entire property to Vanessa before Laura regained legal identity.

The inheritance fight expanded.

The court froze the house.

No one could sell it.

Then Detective Hayes found a private loan secured against the property.

Borrower: Rebecca Miller.

My forged signature.

Default date: next week.

If unpaid, the bank would seize the house regardless of the family dispute.

The lender belonged to Thomas.
