Chapter 7 - THE LOAN
Thomas admitted creating the loan.
He claimed it was a defensive move.
By placing a controlled lien on the house, he could block Richard from selling it.
But the loan terms gave Thomas’s trust ownership after default.
He protected the property by planning to own it.
Another rescue that ended with control.
Rachel called him what he was.
A man who opposed Richard’s methods while using the same architecture.
Thomas surrendered the lien voluntarily after federal prosecutors threatened fraud charges.
The house entered independent receivership until Linda and Laura’s ownership could be restored.
Then the Miller Construction board met.
Richard remained chief executive despite arrest because family bylaws required a conviction for removal.
Vanessa held proxy shares.
Rachel held hidden shares.
I appeared liable for forged loans.
The company was frozen in a war built around daughters used as legal containers.
I proposed employee trusteeship.
Rachel supported it.
Vanessa resisted until prosecutors showed her Richard planned to exclude her after the transfer.
The board removed family voting control temporarily.
Power moved away from blood.
Then Richard called from jail.
He requested to speak with Linda.
She refused.
He requested me.
I accepted through recorded counsel.
He said, “You think the affair video saved you.”
“It exposed you.”
“No. It exposed Vanessa.”
He claimed the woman in the truck was not Vanessa.
A trained double named Claire Cole.
Vanessa had been elsewhere.
If true, the recording might not prove her involvement.
Facial comparison showed subtle differences.
The woman wore Vanessa’s clothes and hair.
Another replacement.
