Chapter 14 - Logan’s Final Evidence

The flash drive contained copies of everything.
Original invoices.
Security access logs.
Emails between Diane and the warehouse technician.
Audio recordings of Jason discussing Route 47.
And a video message from Logan.
He sat inside his office, exhausted but calm.
“If you’re watching this, I either failed to stop them or something happened to me.”
Robert covered his mouth.
Logan explained that Diane’s network had been stealing high-value freight and replacing it with cheaper materials.
Some shipments served military housing projects.
Faulty materials had already caused structural failures.
Logan planned to report everything to federal investigators.
He also revealed the succession agreement.
“Dad thinks Diane saved the company. She has been bleeding it for years.”
Then Logan looked directly into the camera.
“Claire, if this reaches you, don’t let Dad’s guilt make you protect him from consequences.”
Claire froze.
Even in death, her brother understood her.
The message ended with one final request.
“Save the workers. Save the company if you can. But don’t save the name at the expense of the truth.”
