Three years later, Claire stood inside the same conference room.
The glass wall had been replaced.
The table had been repaired.
But she kept one scratch where Jason’s ring had struck the wood during their confrontation.
It reminded her how close the company came to disappearing.
Across the table sat Rachel Reed and eight-year-old Emma Bennett.
A court had formally recognized Emma as Logan’s daughter and heir.
Claire protected the child’s shares in a trust that no executive could touch.
Emma placed a photograph of Logan beside the bronze award.
“Did my dad save the company?”
Claire crouched beside her.
“He saved the truth.”
“And you saved the company?”
Claire smiled.
“We all did.”
