Teresa's eyes bulged in pure, unadulterated horror.
Her final financial weapon was completely rendered useless.
The troopers dragged her away down the hallway.

"She threatened to fire my son from company!"
I looked at Uncle Richard with cold disgust.
"You helped her abuse my wife for years."
Uncle Richard handed the yellow envelope to Amy fast.
"This contains the original estate papers from father!"
Richard confessed, sweating heavily under bright lights today.
"Teresa kept a second secret ledger in safe."
"She didn't act alone ten years ago."
"She had a business partner in Chicago helping."
Amy opened the yellow envelope with shaking fingers.
Inside lay official bank transfer receipts from past.
The receipts proved thirty million dollars were moved.
Ten million belonged to Amy's late father's estate.
Twenty million came from an unknown private source.
A source listed under corporate name: BLACKWOOD HOLDINGS.
Amy's brows pulled together in sudden confused shock.
"Blackwood Holdings?" Amy asked, looking at me.
"That was my mother's maiden family name!"
My heart skipped a beat as realization struck.
Amy's mother passed away when Amy was five.
Her mother belonged to a wealthy East Coast family.
A family that disappeared from public records years.
Teresa hadn't just stolen from Amy's father.
She had stolen from Amy's mother's estate too.
The total stolen fortune was over fifty million.
Uncle Richard wiped sweat from his pale forehead.
"Teresa was just the local manager, Connor."
"The real owner of Blackwood Holdings is alive."
