Dr. Nolan Vale treated Margaret once during a routine clinic visit.
He used that appointment to copy her medical records and identification.
Madison introduced him to Evan.
Evan claimed Margaret needed discreet estate planning because Clara’s military career made her unreliable.
Nolan agreed to provide medical documentation suggesting Margaret suffered early dementia.
The diagnosis would allow Evan to seek control of her accounts.
But Margaret’s cognitive tests remained normal.
So Nolan began altering her medication.
Small changes at first.
Enough to cause confusion.
Fatigue.
Memory gaps.
The objective was not to kill her.
It was to make her appear incompetent.
On the night of the collapse, Evan gave Margaret a powerful sedative.
Nolan entered later to remove evidence and place a falsified medical bracelet linking Margaret to a nonexistent treatment program.
If she died, records would suggest she had mismanaged her own medication.
If she survived, they would use the incident to seek guardianship.
