Chapter 21 - The Certificate Under Daylight

Natural daylight filled the courtroom as Judge Beckett raised the certificate.

“Your name appears first on the company’s original ownership records,” she said.

Gavin whispered, “That’s impossible.”

I put my arms around Nolan and Parker.

“You were never fighting for what was yours,” I told him. “You were fighting to keep what you stole.”

The judge found that the ownership transfer had been fraudulent and void from the beginning. My fifty-one percent stake had never legally left me.

Then she opened the original operating agreement.

A clause neither Gavin nor his current attorneys had seen stated that intentional fraud by one owner against the other triggered forfeiture of the guilty owner’s voting control until final adjudication.

Effective immediately, Gavin lost authority over the company.
