Chapter 26 - The Price of Every Lie

Gavin pleaded guilty to multiple federal and state charges.

He received a substantial prison sentence, restitution orders, and a permanent ban from serving as a corporate officer. The court seized the waterfront condominium, offshore funds, and luxury assets purchased with stolen money.

The twins’ trust was restored first.

Employees recovered losses through restitution and insurance. Caleb lost his law license. Richard Cole was convicted for conspiracy and financial crimes.

Sloane received a reduced sentence after cooperating, but she did not escape consequences. She served time, paid restitution, and publicly admitted her role.

Judge Beckett finalized the divorce and awarded me sole legal custody, with future contact determined by the boys’ therapist and Gavin’s progress.

As deputies led him away, Gavin turned toward me.
